They could re-up Oswalt for ~1 year/$9 million, but I’d rather see them plug in Worley and Blanton/Kendrick in the 4-5 spots and spend that money on a third baseman (Polanco is 36; shift him to the bench).

Nothing against Ryan, but giving closers multi-year deals almost always blows up in your face. Look at Brad Lidge. That $39 million could have been used must more efficiently elsewhere.
