I think Jon Heyman is a “Brainless Momo”
Yesterday, he states what a huge blow it will be if Andy MacPhail decides to leave town.
Today, he’s hearing, that John Hart will be rolling into town once MacPhail leaves.
Jon what is wrong with you? Are there voices in your head? Is Sports Illustrated turning into a “Fish Wrap” rather then a top flight sport magazine?
According to his Wiki Bio – John Hart
After Hart garnered interest for the general manager position on other teams in the 2005 off-season, the Rangers extended his senior advisor contract for three more years in exchange for Hart refusing to consider any other GM positions. Thus Hart remains with the Rangers today and is locked up through the year 2013.
Come on Heyman, take a little bit more care when you do your due diligence will ya!

I am curious to know why you think these things conflict at all?

Maybe my response was an overreaction Rabbitov. However, what I am annoyed about is that there’s a lot of rumors floating around out there and there’s no one doing any verification work. To the best of my knowledge no one out there, including Heyman, has said a peep about John Hart being under contract with the Rangers till 2013 except for me. Why is that? So unless John Hart is let out of his contract he’s not going to be a GM anywhere until 2013 and why would the Rangers do that? So if Jon Heyman is this great an wonderful baseball writer with a great and wonderful publication, the least he could do is comment on Hart’s contract situation when commenting about the rumor about becoming the O’s GM. Isn’t that part of his job? Or is that asking too much?

Congrats to Kyle Stark on the promotion. Our familes were close when we were younger. He is a bright young baseball mind who is going to make a team on heck of a gm someday.
