I’d be surprised if they let Pagan go. We really don’t have an everyday CF without him.

Paulino I can live without

It’s all noise to make the players feel like they have nothing guaranteed and have to work harder – its a sound plan by Alderson and co.

If Pagan isnt the answer in CF then who is? Rick Ankiel? Carlos Beltran (lol)? I think he stays.

“Reyes was pulled after singling in his first at-bat today, to preserve
an NL-leading .3370577 batting average. Strange way to end what could
have been Reyes’ last game as a Met.”
Great job Mets, you lost again. Imagine being one of the fans at the game wondering why Reyes(one of the only reasons to be at the game) was pulled not because of injury, but because they wanted to preserve a 337BA.
What a joke..

Yea, Reyes bringing the first ever Mets batting title to the club is a joke. I liked the Mets losing more and more as they got eliminated because that gave them a higher draft pick for next season

Actually,Reyes pulled himself out of the game. I’ve always admired Reyes’ talents on the field, but have always found him to be a dope with many of his histronics. Today’s descision to take himself out of the game after one hit to perserve the title is just another bonehead move on his part. In an interview he gives thanks to the fans that came out to see him and praises their love. Meanwhile he makes a selfish and cowardly move in order to NOT lose the batting title. This has his agent’s agenda and thinking all over it.
I have no problem in him trying to bunt, but to run from WINNING the title by sitting and then saying that he wanted to win for the fans is just ludicrous if that’s what he believes!
He can spin it anyway he wants, but win or lose, he’s never going to out live this dumb move down. To me, his million dollar talents will always be overshadowed by his 3 dollar brain.

For a second I read the title as “Mets Humor”. I leave slightly disappointed.
NYPOTENCE
Why would Reyes come back, some team capable of winning has a big contract waiting for him. The Mets have contract and no team.

Who is Capuano fighting with for a rotation spot? The Mets don’t exactly have a wealth of options. I’d take Capuano over guys like Schwinden, Parnell, or Pat Misch.
