Yeah, with those numbers it likely isn’t the end of the road for him, someone will surely pick him up…but I just couldn’t resist

Even though he would not be available for post-season play, I get the feeling that if anyone tries to call Theo Epstein right now, they would get a busy signal…. 🙂

The Padres have been very active claiming players in attempt to re-build their bull-pen. I could see them being all over this.

I’m not a Yankee or Red Sox hater, but it would be great to see the Rays pull it off and get into the playoffs again.

I just don’t see it.. as bad as the red sox have played lately, they still have 7 games left vs the orioles and the the rays have a ton of games left vs the yankees..

The Twins should claim him and get him back again. I never understood why they let him go through waivers earlier this year when they clearly needed the arms in the bullpen. I’m sure there is something that I’m missing in that move, but I’d like to see him back.

They need pitchers with MLB-caliber pitches, not more AAA arms. Delaney (and Anthony Slama) are both solid AAA pitchers but both are just fringe MLB pitchers. Both wil consistently get AAA hitters out but neither one throws quality pitches to consistantly get big league hitters out. Delaney is better than Slama though but that isn’t enough reason to bring him back.
