Wow !! That’s some pricey lefties coming out of the pen. They combined for less than 1 WAR in 2011. What’s a little overpay on the pen when you need to spend some coin on bolstering the league’s worst offense?

If Harang doesn’t come back to the Padres, I really hope Byrnes brings in a different veteran to mentor Latos, Luebke and the other kids coming up.

Harang has to thank his lucky stars to pitch in a canyon like Petco. Anywhere else and he’s a 5.00 ERA run of the mill junkballer. Anyone giving him more than 2 years, 12 million on the open market is more delusional than Harang.
