I like Jason Marquis. You’d think there wouldn’t be an ‘s’ in the name when you say it, but there is. Cheap innings eater, probably as good as Capuano, and has a beard. Plus, he won a wild card with the Rox so you know he is a WinRar (I don’t use WinZip).

Also, I hope they sign Joe Nathan and bring back Baxter. Hometown kids, Mets fans, all that crap. A real feel good story if they manage to squeak out 84 or so wins.
Lastings
John Niese can vouch for Marquis’ hitting, after giving up a grand slam to him.

marquis did well for the nationals when he was healthy. he is also a new yorker, so i think it’s a good fit

Why not, a good money ball player. The Mets are looking at last place next year.

Can you please explain what moneyball is?

You have no idea what that phrase means, do you?

The Mets are definitely a couple of years away from contending.

2013. Be there or be Expos.

Oh come on who didn’t see this one coming?

Let’s just hope this is Marquis’s agent playing the typical NY card he plays every offseason to pump up interest in his client.
East Coast Bias
He’s from Staten Island… do we really consider that “from New York” now?

The lost borough, connected to the others by a $15 bridge and an old ferry right next to the stadium of the Staten Island Yankees.

love if this happened! only if Marquis was willing to sign a 1 year deal around 3 mill?

Jason Marquis…otherwise known as the guy so tough that he broke his leg and still played.
Joveoak
I watched that game when it happened: He injured his leg and still played. Then, he broke it and stopped playing.
