“We’re by far a finished product. Take the rest of the winter off? No.”
FAIL, the first line means they’re done.
Luke Adams
Yeah, not sure if that was Colletti misspeaking, or a typo in Gurnick’s piece. I assume he means “far from” or “not by far.”

Ned is right. He’s not done yet. There are still middle infielders out on the market right now. He’s waiting to hear from David Eckstein that he intends to play next season, then he’ll sign him along with Craig Counsell and Yuniesky Betancourt.
goredsgo
dont forget about punto, izturis and cedeno
Homerj24
The Cards will likely non-tender Theriot a contract too. Ned will splooge himself if he can reunite.
whatever
man I hated TheRIOT
sherrilltradedooverexperience
Ned played Theriot correctly.
He flipped him for Hawksworth, who’s still controllable and useful.
Eddy Cisneros
The dodgers have to make a big move today! Seems like rest of LA teams did something big today!
ateam043
I agree. They might get Piazza, Mondesi, and Karros out of retirement.
Lefty
He fleeced the Orioles today, what else does he need to do this offseason?
Unbelievable some teams spend money like drunken sailors to get what they want. The Orioles on the other hand get hosed by the opposition we and then thank them for it. Duquette should be fired!

“…what else does he need to do this offseason?”
Take Harang, Capuano, and Adam Kennedy to the “returns” section of the store?
Lefty
hahahaha! Colletti returns Henson to the Orioles as well.

Still more work to do: Launch McCourt somewhere in next Mythbusters gig.
whatever
Do not trade any prospects, please.. do not trade Bills, please
Gumby65
Not happening, especially when they had to do as good as they could when filling out rotation. It’s not in best interests to dump assets in midst of impending sale unless it is a small market team with serious cash issues. That said, McCourt is still in charge, but if he knows any better… Last year, including Bills in a trade with a prospect or two for Greinke would have made sense but that opportunity isn’t there right now.
BlueSkyLA
Now, now, it’s alway possible to come up with a worst case scenario, especially when you don’t have to convince anybody but youself of its plausibility.
whatever
haha, must be lonely on that island with Ned.

YOU ARE THE MINORITY, please start rooting for where ever Neds ends up please
BlueSkyLA
Another brilliant non-sequitur reply. You should get that patented.

Umm he just tried to get Daniel Murphy, what exactly would he have given up?
Gumby65
Hopefully Juan Uribe.
*grin*

The judge was Kevin Gross? Didn’t he play for the Dodgers? 🙂
Mack22
No. Hence the word “Judge” do you know what it takes to be a Judge?
BlueSkyLA
Actually Kevin Gross did pitch for the Dodgers. Wearing black robes, as I recall.
Dan Franzen
I sincerely hope you didn’t think I was being serious.
