The Mariners – Just in time to miss Carlos Guillen’s career
$3513744
Since they’re also looking to bring back Moyer, they might as well sign Mike Cameron, Raul Ibanez, George Sherill, Jack Wilson, Erik Bedard, Jason Veritek, Omar Vizquel, Jose Lopez, Yuniesky Betancourt, Russell Branyan, Joel Pineiro, Miguel Batista, Ronny Cedeno, and Arthur Rhodes. Then they can have a whole big aging and/or uselss ex-Mariner reunion!

“Polidor says his client is working like an animal in Miami ”
Wouldn’t it have been better to work like an animal last year?I think the saying is “Dig your well before you are thirsty.”

solid player when healthy…A team player too
Eric 32
“when healthy” is the key to that statement. Remember, Guillen suffered a season ending injury last year on a play he wasn’t even involved in.

If he could avoid injury he would still be a good player to have around on any team.
He plays all over the field when healthy and is a switch-hitter.

Guillen did not hit much in Seattle when he was here, but he was underrated for what he did do. He was very valuable batting ninth or second in ways the some stats don’t show.
Then he became a across the board contributer in Detroit. Funny Mariner fans never learn. They want more offense, they complain about the guys they got, and when the organization listens and trades those guys and they pan out elsewhere they complain about that.

What are you talking about? Example please…
