Parnell’s average fastball sat at a blistering 97.2mph last season…
Yeah, well, too bad he hasn’t figured out what to do with it for the 3+ yrs he’s been in the majors. As such, I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t kill me to never have to see his clueless face in Flushing again (among others).
In fact, while you’re “mulling,” Mets, why stop there? One Mike Pelfrey needs to seriously get outta town as well…

To Boston for Scutaro or maybe they might consider Lowrie an everyday player?
Sean Matrai
he may be a good backup for tejada ,so Id take scutaro
Blanketsburg
The fact that you think Tejada is a better option than Scutaro is laughable. The Sox never make that trade.

whitesox have always had an interest in parnell and they are in full rebuild mode, bobby might be a perfect don cooper project

Maybe I am nuts but could the position player possibly have been Gordon Beckham? I don’t know about straight up or whatever but it seems like KW is ready to deal.

That’s who i was thinking also. Either him or Lowrie make the most sense.
Jim McGrath
The Sox have only added a FA–Scutao could go and slip Iggy into the mix at SS.
Parnell would be a pretty decent addition to the pen.

They probably should have done it. This guy never learned how to pitch yet, always gonna have potential though because of that velocity.
