No!!!

I hope Colon gets a good deal. He deserves it. He pitched very well for the Yankees last year until he started to run out of gas in August. He still can give a team like the A’s a lot of quality starts at a relatively inexpensive price probably about $3MM +/-.

Colon as an Athletic? This is so ironic.

Exactly what i was thinking

Hoping for Jeff francis instead. Colon would be a rental player until July when Beane flips him for a prospect.
tdot32
what would jeff francis be?
Snoochies8
Could do worse
Randy
i dont know why unless they a fixing to trade one of our other pitchers
Robert Slye Jr.
Why????
Let the youngsters fill the roster and take their lumps now! I understand the A’s need to spend a little money to fill minimum roster spending, but I’d much rather the A’s spent the money on bullpen or backup outfielders.

The A’s have become MLB’s flea market.
Lefty
You’re giving flea’s a bad name.

Sorry fleas everywhere.

hahahaha!
oaklandfan22

Thank god , keep him faraway from AA
rainyperez
He’s going to have a “field” day with those $1 Dog Wednesdays. Hard-di-har-har!
DbacksAreBeast
Please do all us Dbacks fans another favor, sign him before we do…
jamesa-2
If the A’s sign Colon, the chances of the Dbacks signing Harden go up drastically. Pick your poison.

I kind of hope this doesn’t happen.

Brad Penny is the real wonder. Straight as an arrow FB in the upper 90’s, decent curve, yet always had had lousy K numbers.
Wonder if he could do anything in Oakland? The large stadium could play well since he is a fly ball pitcher *if* could stay healthy.
