With Wakefield being one of my favourite players, it’s difficult to watch him struggle. He wasn’t Lackey-bad, but he certainly wasn’t much better. He deserves plenty of respect for his career, but I think it’s time he hangs up his spikes and takes an administrative or special assistant/consultant role with the team.

The Theo Epstein stuff is more annoying than the Oswalt and Burnett stuff combined.

Please Cubs just send J. Baker to Boston so this can end and the Cubs can move on.

Guys we’re missing the really big news here: Ross Ohlendorf!!!
(I think it’d be hilarious if he plays a role in the bullpen though. Aceves, Melancon, and Ohlendorf shutting down the Yankees for 4 innings in a game would be the coolest thing)

This is going to be a blast when the compensation decree is handed down by Selig. Make it fair, Commissioner. People are going to be unhappy whatever you do, so you might as well do it soon, and let the two teams adapt afterwards.

No way, the Sox aren’t in on a pitcher that’s trying to prove himself??

Boston’s compensation will be Alfonso Soriano and his contract.
BoSoXaddict
I bet it will be Tory McNutt.

Obviously that was a typo, I meant Trey.
