Well that’s not a bad 1.2.3 for the A’s considering.
Daniel Stern
Please define “not bad”?
Eduardo Medina
Sure, Why not?
rundmc1981
He’s just upset he was almost completely panned in “Moneyball”…as he should be. Wonder how Tim Hudson and Barry Zito feel.
WonderboyRooney10
Yeah the movie failed to acknowledge that the A’s had Hudson, Mulder, Zito, Chavez and Tejada on the roster. That was my main issue with the movie. They made it seem like the A’s were the equivalent of the 2011 Orioles.

” They made it seem like the A’s were the equivalent of the 2011 Orioles.”
What were you expecting from Hollywood? The truth or anything resembling it? All you will get, or have gotten from the theater the last 30 years is some perversion of a screenwriters “want” of what the truth is, or should have been..
WonderboyRooney10
Obviously it wasnt going to be a documentary. I was expecting the truth to be stretched. But it was just hard to watch the movie knowing that the A’s were actually a pretty good team.
Andrew Ochs
That’s funny because as an O’s fan it seems as if Dan Douquette can make the 2012 O’s into the 2002 A’s. Except DD too along with hollywood missed the part about Miggy and and the big 3.
redsx968
Sorry but in the AL East with the big three and a solid Blue Jays team, you guys are in the cellar. By a longshot.

Good Luck winning 90 gams when you face the jays/rays/Sox/yanks 60 times a season
Tirameenlasbolas
He could have a resurgence in Oakland if he can get a hold of the same “pharmacist” he had when he was there before.

Beane definitely likes the juice, and it’s not apple juice. First Manny; now maybe Tejada. Just coax Clemens out of retirement and you’re set.
johnsilver
Other way around.. Tejada should be phoning beane and begging for a job. There a organizations with young kids even available with the upside of 37(?) YO players on the severe downhill grade of their careers.
Beane can pick up a filler and get some young kid and not deal with tejada’s baggage. This might be a phone call he chooses not to make.
BradyAnderson
Baggage? This isnt Manny. Tejada is known for his funny, easy going antics and uplifting clubhouse personality.
Iconoclast17
I doubt Miggy returns to the A’s, because it will remind everybody, once again, that Beane blew it big-time by choosing the porcelain doll, Eric Chavez over Tejada in the first place.
ColonelTom
Tejada’s line-drive # the last 4 years:
23.4%, 20.3%, 19.2%, 13.3%
That’s a guy who can’t square up pitches anymore. He’s toast. The A’s are better off giving someone already in the organization a shot.
formerdraftpick 2
Well…if he keeps on declining, he’ll be at 10%. My coach always told me, give it another 10%! It’s that extra 10% that makes the most of things. I had no idea all I had to give it was a Tejeda type of effort.
wholenewworld
That line drive stat really tells the story.
Tejada is now pretty much a coach, not an MLB player.
Robert Slye Jr.
Thanks for the memories Miggy, but no thanks…

Juicers, unite.

A’s should go after Jorge “El Chato” Vasquez from the Yanks, give him a shot at the 3b job, now that the Yanks signed Chavez to back-up A-Rod. Would probably cost next to nothing.
jaryl612
Miguel Tejada hit a walk-off fly ball on ring ceremony night last year. Should have been caught. That was his peak, it was all downhill from there.
JMBY88
Beane hated Tejada back then because he loves walks and OBP. Tejada said, “you don’t walk off the island.” The guy swings at everything and if he’s declining in line drives, what’s the point at all?
Tony DiQuattro
Just talked to Billy, his comment was “lol no thanks”.
Derek Walker
It’s pretty simple. Tejada was cut from a team with the worst offense in baseball last season. And they didn’t even have a decent replacement when they did it! Every time he would ground out he’d just lope down to 1st base. There’s a reason why nobody’s interested, it’s because he sucks. Viva la steroid years!
SFEvl1
Ya he wasn’t happy in SF because HE WAS TERRIBLE. Nice way to turn that around.
