“There were a lot of nights when I woke up at 3 o’clock in the morning staring at the ceiling,” I think Jack Z watched the Simpson “Dental Plan” episode the night before. He kept on hearing over and over, ” Lisa Needs Braces” followed by “Dental Plan” over and over. Then it morphed into “Mariners need a hitter” followed by ” Season Ticket Plan” dwindling. Mariners needed a hitter otherwise Season Ticket holder plans were going to dwindle even further. The bottom line is helping out the Yankees more than they help you is a “No No”. Trading for a catcher who can’t catch is never a good idea. If they were going to trade for Pineda for a hitter, then it should have been for someone else from another team!
raffish
Love the Simpson’s reference. Disagree with the rest.

Have you seen photos of Michael Pineda at the Yankees’ Spring Training site? Pineda looks like a 6-foot-7 Pillsbury Dough Boy.
At least Jesus Montero arrived at Spring Training in shape.

It might work out if he can hit. People are writing him off as ever being able to catch and they ought to be questioning whether or not Pineda can survive in the AL east also and out of that Grand Canyon for half of his games.

I imagine Zduriencik still has alot of sleepless nights cuz they need alot more than that

So, what part of the team is included in the Dodgers sale again? Pretty sure parking lots usually belong to the club, or the city, or whomever owns the stadium.
P.S. Dear Jack Zduriencik: you suck! When I play named the GMs in MLB I always misspell your name.

McCourt created a bunch of different entities owning different pieces of the Dodger operation. Apparently this is not so unusual. What is unusual is that the parking lot portion is being offered alá carte. That probably would not have been possible had the bankruptcy court not intervened in this entire process, very much to the benefit of McCourt.

Let me ask you this if you don’t mind and you are one of the LAD fans most active here..
What exactly is the reasons for Tom O’Malley and the league possibly not getting together if he should form a group?
I would think getting the O’Malley’s back would be a good thing? His dad, Walter was a good owner, or I thought he was at least.. Is there something bad about his son?

McCourt was too busy appearing on Curb your Enthusiasm.

Ah thanks for the clarification.. I was wondering why parking lot is mentioned as an apparent separate entity as the stadium or why it isn’t included in the sale. Guess there is a reason I’m not a business wizard haha

McCourt was able to get this condition from the bankruptcy court, along with several others that will drive up the sale price of the Dodgers. After this, all baseball franchise owners will want to sell their teams in bankruptcy.

McCourt is like the Bill Murray character in “What About Bob?”
Gone??? Gone??? He’s not gone! He’s NEVER gone.

Torre knows he has no shot at the winning bid so he says you can’t fire me,I quit.Sounds familiar.
