Wow, did not expect this at all. I thought for sure he had a spot on the rotation, at least as an innings eater/mentor to the youngsters.

Possibly the A’s? Or Royals?

dude just eats innings. And hits 3 home runs a year. Hope he gets to retire on his terms.
Chucky Doll
We should’ve kept him for a bat off of the bench since we have a power outage on this team!
VivaJackMurphy
He’s listed at 245, so I’d say he eats a lot more than innings.

I wish the Braves had room for him. He’s just a fun pitcher to watch, one of my favorites, even if he is a 5th starter type. At worst, he’s more entertaining then Buddy Carlyle (no offense to Buddy, I also like him)
Chucky Doll
I definitely like him as a player, always have, but Atlanta needs him even less than Houston! He is a quality guy who brings certain intangibles to a team/clubhouse and that is the one thing I think the Astros should’ve kept him around for. At the end of the day however, we are going to be terrible again this year and we need to see what our “inventory” is really made of.

i agree, when i stopped wearing my fantasy baseball hat and put on my baseball fan hat, he is a joy to watch. He acts loafy but is fierece competitor, the rookies like him, and his 62 MPH pitches drive everyone crazy.
Eduardo Medina
guess what?? He´s a Braves already

How about you make more wishes for the Braves? But really good ones this time 😛

“37-year old” makes me laugh.

Something is going wrong if you’re being released by the Astros. Someone will pick him up ASAP.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

This is an odd move. The Astros are destined for 100 losses and they have a lot of innings that somebody has to pitch. The kids can’t throw them all

The last few years have been split between the “good” Livo and the “bad” Livo. He was in “good” mode from the time the Nats brought him back in late 2009 until early on last year, when he slipped back into “bad” mode. The “good” Livo is a great bargain for the money. The “bad” Livo is not someone who is even worth it as an innings eater.
That said, I’ve loved the guy ever since he won the Nats very first home game back in 2005 and I hope is isn’t through yet.
