Chone figgins for lowe
Madman2TX
Why would the Rangers need another 3B, especially one who can’t hit? Lowe to M’s for King Felix…we’ll even pay for the airfare.
Justin Buckner
“and aim to acquire a utility infielder and/or right-handed bat who can handle left field” come on man we M’s fans can dream… no need to be a jerk about it….
phishtank
Oh right, I bet the Rangers would be willing to take on the $17 million dollars remaining on Figgins’ contract for his services as a backup utility infielder.
Tony DiQuattro
So much for Rowand being such a “gamer”. He hit it big on his payday and he’s ready to cash out. Maybe he just ran into walls because he wasn’t smart enough to avoid them.
Madman2TX
Gonna be mayhem with those free basketball nights at Dodgers stadium…
Dr. Gonzo
Replace the 7th inning stretch with a game of BASEketball.
gmenfan 2
Half of the fans have already left the stadium by the 7th inning stretch.
KyleB
I don’t understand why the Rangers would even get rid of Lowe and/or Koji. It’s not like we would get anything productive for them. Then we would just have to trade for some more relievers to replace them…

Rowand: It’s not that there isn’t a team looking for an outfielder. It’s just that you’re a worthless piece of garbage. Thanks

Silly Rowand, teams are looking for good outfielders.

“Teams with catching depth such as the Yankees, Padres, and Blue Jays aren’t inclined to make deals at this point”
I take it that means Shoppach is headed north with Boston and Lavarnway for sure is headed to Pawtucket.. Was hoping against hope they could find a place for him and move Shoppach. Lavarnway has lit up ST and his bat is well beyond ready for the big time.
Slopeboy
That’s the right move at his point. Shoppach is more than an adequete back-up.
Lavarnway is a good looking player, but he’s better off learning how to call a game and playing everyday in the minors. He’s not going to take the job from Saltalamaccia and sitting on the bench will only retard his development. This kid is destined to be another Sox player I’ll come to dread in the future.
BlueSkyLA
So is anybody else going to miss Rowand’s batting stance? Always reminded me of that kid joke about aspirins. (If you have to ask, don’t.)

Aaron Rowand…how ’bout it Frank Wren?
crashcameron
yeah, aaron mosttly sucked for the Giants on the field but give him credit for not being a distraction off it or in the dugout, especially during the WS run.
besides, you wouldn’t have signed that contract?!?!
