GriffeyandSizemore
If those are the numbers it’s a very good deal in my opinion.

He made a comment that he would sign a team friendly deal to stay in Texas and this seems like it (if accurate, it is Bowden reporting it). Good deal but I will believe it when the Rangers announce it.

Very good deal. $14MM avg per year is great for Kinsler.

Especially with next year’s $10 MM option still counting.

If the numbers quoted for Kinsler are close to accurate the only way it influences Cano/Boras is if the 2 of them are deaf, dumb and blind.

Kinsler is quite arguably the 3rd best 2B in the game right now, only behind Cano and Pedroia. The ONLY way Kinsler’s potential deal doesn’t influence Cano is if he signs a team friendly deal. Remember, the Yankees are trying to get UNDER the salary cap by 2014.
