He’s only 28? I could have sworn he was playing back in the Buhner and Reynolds days
johnsilver
LOL. Maybe because we have been hearing about his antics for soooo long Chico?
Edit:
Apologies.. Wrong Lopez.. Was a-thinkin’ about Felipe… 🙁

Would like to see Tampa pick him up- he hit 25 homers only three years ago and can play 3rd. Possible replacement for Longoria if he’s out for the 6-8 weeks that everybody is saying he will
bigpat
How long will it take for people to quit saying that? He had a good season three years ago and has failed for every team who tried to take a filer on him. It’s not that hard to believe some guys have fluke seasons they can’t duplicate.
Hermie13
Not to mention his OBP that year was a whopping .303.
Eli
He might be able to wear a glove on one hand and stand to the right of the Shortstop and hit a baseball, but Jose Lopez cannot play 3B. As a defensive player, he makes a fine DH.. You don’t want him in a game if it’s possible a batter might hit the ball to him… bad things have happened & continue to happen.. If the Rays want a 3B on the cheap, look for a guy like Casey Blake or someone who can actually catch a baseball..
Tony Matias
No Jack Z. Don’t even think about it.
Bonesinis
This is a guy the Cubs need to look at. Ian Stewart is not cutting it. Jose could be given a real shot by the Cubs.

I’ll go ahead and speak for Cubs Nation. PASS!

Who would be better, Damon or Lopez? No idea. Still, I find it odd that a LH lineup thinks they need more LH.
Hermie13
Damon actually has hit lefties better than righties at times.
Damon in a sense is taking the place of Sizemore in the lineup. Duncan was suppose to be a bench guy til Grady was hurt.
Damon >>>>> Lopez
LITTLE JOE
He has a decent batting average, I bet he will be back to major level again. Defense, not bad. He is only 28, still has a future.
