“…and in other news, the Mets and Royals swapped 10 nice maple bats for a bag of balls. Both teams were slightly satisfied by this trade.”

Wouldn’t 10 bats be worth a lot more than a bag of balls!?

This sounds dumb. Two minor leaguers, and the Rays traded away a young 25 year old for 33 year old? Doesn’t make much sense to me…

Thompson has done a great job for Lehigh this year. He isn’t more than a fifth outfielder but I hope he can find the majors in Tampa. Guess the other guy is just a reserve as well.

ew, hudson has no power whatsoever. Never hit a pro HR, only 17 xbh and a career iso of.038. What exactly is good about this guy?

Not to say that he is better, but he fits right in there with Pierre and Polanco who both have very little power anymore.

I’m guessing Joe Jordan had a say in this. He drafted Hudson and, from what I have read, always really liked him.
