This week was pretty terrible for us Brewers fans… 🙁

As much as Alex Gonzalez has to HATE not being able to help his team. If you HAD to have an ACL tear cost you a year, at least it’s right after you get a baby you can now help and spend time with.

Mota should get a refund. They didn’t help!
Hope we cut him!!
Tony DiQuattro
I doubt they will. I’m Pretty sure it’s an unpaid suspension.

It’s almost funny.. Early in the season the BP was Boston’s problem and now it’s the least of their worries with so many options and both Melencon plus Alex Wilson at Pawtucket. Should say sickening if not funny…

Not sure which way you tilt if we add Darnell McDonald to your list.

Hasn’t Mota learned not to use PED’s after the first suspension in ’07?

Giants should give Mota a one way ticket back home.

MLBTR should have made a post today about how Sale is becoming the closer for the White Sox. Easily the most puzzling move I have seen in baseball in a long time. Guy was doing excellent in the rotation and could have been a number 1 or 2 for years to come instead they mess with a good thing for seemingly no reason. “Hey i’m making Sale the closer.” “Why? Sale has been great, and Reed has yet to yield a single run. This move would push him to seventh inning duty?” “Well….because.” Ventura is screwing up here.

I can’t believe the Kevin Cash autograph may be more valuable than the Buchholz autograph on my Sox hat.

Noooo
chico65
That’s just wicked, Kevin.
johnsilver
Think Kevin is listening to “Band on the Run” whenever Bucholz is pitching of late Chico.
chico65
I was thinking “Will you still love me tomorrow” might be more fitting.
johnsilver
LOL. Yeah.. That’d fit also.. Kevin.. How long have I picked on that beatles logo bro… 🙂

You make me never want to change it. Tomorrow never knows…

I kind of feel bad for Mota. Clen is a fat loss drug, so he was likely using it purely for appearance, not performance.

Actually it’s also a stimulant, which is the most likely reason why a pro athlete would take it.
As for appearance, I don’t know why Mota would need to worry, being tall and reasonably trim (well, OK…maybe pudgy around the middle, but not a blob). Anyway, I think we can safely assume he was trying to get an edge….again.

” I think we can safely assume he was trying to get an edge….again.”
Getting an edge at almost 40 (yeah, 38 close enough) played for 8
teams and well traveled.. We have to think he was after something no
probably legitimate.
I watched a SFG game earlier this year and while Moto doesn’t throw
upper 90’s as he did when he was a young man, he still can get it up
there 93-94. Hard to think any of those banned substances could/would
allow him to go more than a couple of innings, nor make him throw 96+
again.

Oh yeah, and to that I want to add that based on how often he has been caught, it is hard or me to believe that the 96+ he was throwing was really all his to begin with! o_0

So true!!
In WW2, Theodor Morell was known as “reichsminister of the imperial needle” for his injections to a certain high profile person of various concoctions. Perhaps Mota also thinks he can keep running with an empty tank, well past time to shut it all down and just disappear?

Mota just needs to appeal and accuse the lab of not handling his sample properly like Braun did. That is what everyone should do. Precedence.
