What happened to Lincecum should not be relevant to Kershaw. Lincecum is a freak.

Greinke to the braves!!!!!!!!!
LEGITFANTASY
the Braves? i guess it depends on how BIG the Brewers think Julio Teheran is. Prospect wise.
asovermann
With how horrid Teheran has been recently I almost think the Brewers wouldnt be interested.
LEGITFANTASY
he is def not putting up the stats of a top 5 prospect
WonderboyRooney10
He is 21 years old already in his 2nd season of AAA. The breaking ball is the only thing holding him back. Way more advanced than other pitching prospects.
rundmc1981
If they weren’t interested in him because of some recent troubles, I’d think their scouts are quite possibly the worst in the game. I’ve seen the guy pitch and he’s going to be a star. He’s never been given a spot in ATL.
LEGITFANTASY
hmmm. if the Brewers were looking for a BIG Prospect i would think they would look at….Baltimore – Manny Machado or Det – Jacob Turner. Who else is in the position to acquire Grienke? …Banuelos from the Yankees? Carlos Martinez or Oscar Taveras from the Cards?
WonderboyRooney10
There are just some prospects that are just off limits. Duquette is just waiting for the O’s to fade like the rest of us. Machado for a half season of Greinke would be worse than the Vernon Wells trade.
Sean Matrai
If the Os gave up Machado or Bundy then Duquette should be fired in a heartbeat. Why in the world would you give up either of those 2 prospects for a half season of a pretty good starting pitcher in Grienke.
WonderboyRooney10
While long term contracts for pitchers are clearly more risky than extensions for position players, the Dodgers should not balk at an extension because of Tim Lincecum, Barry Zito or Mike Hampton. Mutually exclusive. Evaluate Kershaw based on Kershaw’s unique circumstance alone.
jill
So, are we writing off Tim Lincecum because he’s had a lousy half year?
I’m not willing to say he’s through.
rainyperez
I agree. The stuff is there as indication of his k rate which is over 9. Biggest improvement is he’s pitching at 92 mph with his fastball again. Everything was just mental and it seems like he’s worked through being more consistent in the stretch. I really think his problems began when he lost over 30 lbs during the offseason going from 190+ to 160 affected his stamina.

I disagree. The Phillies biggest trade chip = Hunter Pence.
Sean Matrai
what do the Phillies want for Pence he is a right handed power bat and we are desperate for that in NY on the Queens side.
Julian W
I doubt the Phillies want to trade Pence within the division. The Mets would have to give up a lot to make that happen. Though the Phillies should have the book on Pence by now as far as getting him to strike out. Chase that high fastball, or swing and miss on an outside breaking pitch.
