and in other news, sources close to Heyman report that the Sun rises in the morning and sets in the afternoon.

Hopefully they wouldn’t do that to him again
Matt Mahony
Lee’s list is mainly big-market teams plus, interestingly, #Marlins and #Braves.#Phillies
Doesn’t this mean that the Braves and Marlins ‘ARE’ on the list of teams he can block, or does it mean that he WILL go to these teams? This is a bit confusing.
randyfastman
Braves and Marlins are 2 of the teams he can NOT block a trade to, however as stated above, The Phils would never trade him within the division so there are really only 5 or 6 teams the phils could trade him to without his consent
Chris Niemann
If the Phillies were to trade Lee, he could not block a trade to the Yankees, Braves, Marlins, Rangers, and two other teams. He can reject a trade to any of the other 23.
Catztradamus
It means he put all the teams in the division on the list because the Phillies are less likely to deal him inside the division.

@google-0785b8d1520c9b7d82427820c54548ee:disqus Im guessing he added Braves and Marlins because the Phillies would never trade him in division. So in a way its a larger no trade clause for him. Thats just a guess though.
Andy Klick
he will most likely be traded in the offseason

nobody wants that contract.

This isn’t a good headline. It’s misleading. I think it should say “Phillies *Can’t* Trade Cliff Lee.” Dude makes $24 mil/year. They’d have to pick up at least half his salary before any team even considers parting with their good prospects.
douglasb
Ha! Nobody wants Cliff Lee’s contract. Are you kidding me? He has been paid almost $15,000,000 per win this year so far and he’s owed more than $100,000,000. Only an idiot would trade for that.
Cornelius Williams
I bet he ends up n Texas…
