i like how it says Astros acquire Brett Myers on the side. You made me think they traded him away and traded for him all in 2 days.

Greinke would not do good in a big market
ThePaulCrew
You are right, he would not do good, he would do well in a big market

Oh man, I wonder how fans would feel about Victorino in Dodger Blue. He wasn’t exactly the most popular Phillie when they were in LA for their last series.
Bob M.
still pissed at him from 2008 lol
Jesse Pointon
will never understand this from LAD fans. He was thrown at and all he asked was that he be hit in the side, not the head. and they made him a villain.

I’d be happy if the giants were in on victorino. Put him in center and move pagan in right. I can only dream of an actual legit lead off hitter in SF.
Howard
I’d like to see the Cardinals get Victorino for a lot, him and Beltran…. ahhh yeah.

Twins GM Terry Ryan won’t trade Willingham…he’s too proud of that off-season signing. And he should be! Letting Cuddyer & Kubel walk and getting significantly cheaper ($$$) options like Willingham and Doumit is paying off HUGE. It was the right decision – and there’s no need to mortgage a part of the future by trading either of them away. Liriano will be a FA at the end of the season – he’ll be the first to go in any trades the Twins make.
Javier Mejia
Willingham would be real nice in the 5th spot for the dodgers! His defense isnt that good, but we’ve had abreu out there so i wouldnt mind willingham. Might be too much or too little not sure, but a deal centered around eovaldi, and withrow.

It was already becoming obvious the Jays weren’t done after getting Happ. He’s ok, but the Jays need more. Here’s to hoping we don’t break the farm bank for that pitcher though.
Howard
Agreed. Don’t count out Happ though, even if he gets a shot to pitch as a starter for us, look at Laffey… he’s doing good now after being given a chance. I’d personally like to see the Jays get Liriano or Hamels.
Howard
The Jays were going to make a deal for Cordero-Oliver for Morneau & Liriano plus some minor league players to Minnesota but they chose the Astros deal instead… so now it seems the Twins are looking at other trade partners now.

Will Pence play LF? Id love the Jays to go for him.

Trade Greinke and sign him during the offseason. That’s very realistic. Get a young pitching prospect in return and then next year, our rotation will be Greinke, Gallardo, Marcum, Fiers, and Estrada/Thornburg/New Guy. Get rid of Wolf SOMEHOW. We’re gonna be VERY good next year, even better than we were supposed to be this year before all the injuries. With Braun and Lucroy exploding offensively; Gamel, Maldonado, Izturis, and Nyjer coming off the bench; Axford closing; and several potential starters in our bullpen, it sounds like playoff team to me!

If they don’t sell and sell hard…I’m gonna unfriend them on all my social networks and not pay for more games…then they’ll see, oh yes, they’ll be sorry.
