Stick a fork in him, he’s done.

Abreu and Matsui, both gone the same day. The DH’s are dropping like flies. Who is the LAST DH standing and will even end up with a 10m+ contract next year? (drum roll please) David Ortiz of course.
Andrew Ward
Perhaps Berkman who could DH for the Astros next year, end his career with them?

Took me a minute to remember the Astros are moving to the AL next year.
Even though he’s still a good hitter I’d think teams will be wary about giving Berkman $10M next season.

If he still wants to play, I think he’s more in line for a low-base, incentive-laden deal for 2013. I guess it depends what he’s willing to play for at age 38. Would be nice to see him come back for at least one more season since the man could always hit.

Should have signed Vlad instead…

If Hideki Matsui could hit in The NL, Why cant The Giants take a chance on him.

Jack Z. of the Mariners, please pick up Hideki Matsui or Bobby Abreu off waiver trade for either infielder Chone Figgins or pitcher Jordan Shippers or Jose Torres since the team can use some help on offense, esp. to teach some younger players on how to win games consistently just like during the days w/ the New York Yankees.

… what?

Double thumbs up on the “what”

I don’t know man, are you really going to get better output from Matsui or Abreu than you would from a Carp/Montero combo? You would get a good OBP from Abreu, but I’d prefer that the M’s give the ABs to others since their playoff prospects for 2012 don’t look great.

You guys just got rid of Ichiro, though…
