Would love to see the Phillies add Mike Adams this offseason, really one of the few Elite set up men available.
Curious to see if the Padres make any of their bullpen arms available (such as Luke Gregerson) given the way they’ve been playing to finish the year.

Bastardo has been really good actually.
I_Am_Roy_Halladay
Lately, but he was pretty awful early on this season.
Adams would be a great pickup. Also wouldn’t mind resigning Madson for a 1 year deal to setup for Papelbon. Gregerson would be interesting. If only we could pry Headley away from SD to man 3rd for the Phils…

He was unlucky. His season line is great.

To a point but a lot of his struggles come from an inability to throw strikes consistently. He’s had games where he’s gotten BABIP’d and he’s had games where he’s completely melted down.
Wouldn’t hurt to add an arm regardless. The better your bullpen, the more success you’re going to have. Let Bastardo/Aumont/DeFratus/Stutes handle innings 6-7 and have two veteran stoppers at the back.

I hope the mets can sign wright
Aron
I don’t he would look greeeaat in a Jays uniform
Natsfan89
Shouldn’t you be organizing bus trips to LA for Giants and Padres fans Stan?
nm344
Bastardo struggled? 14 K/9 rate and 3.16 xFIP. Zolecki hopefully meant the setup role, not the bullpen. Bastardo has been excellent.
Let_My_Cameron_Go
If you have seen Bastardo pitch, then you would not be calling him excellent…
nm344
I have and I do.

Lefties are hitting a whopping .169 off of him all year. The problem with Bastardo has been his command, but other than that, he has been good for them. Taking him out of the Bullpen for Horst or Diekman would be a mistake at this point.
The best possible scenerio for next yearr would be:
Papelbon
Adams/Rodney/Madson/Grilli (any of those four)
Bastardo
Aumont
DeFratus
Horst/Diekman
Lindblum/Stutes

How about Mike Redmond, instead if his brother Tim
Leonard Washington
If Mikey Lowell is a candidate for anyone he should be a Sox candidate. Mike is a class act and for better or worse I would give him a shot.
elscorchot
Why sox, we had him first. Lol
Leonard Washington
Technically Yanks had him first.
