Clap for the Wolfman (Bane).. He was a terrible lotto pick himself, but he sure has done a good job with Anaheim in selecting others.

Sounds familiar. a top prospect failed in the majors then goes into the scouting/gm field and has success.

It doesn’t matter who the Indians hire if they keep bringing in the same kind of players-which they have done now three years running. Everyone swings from the left side, no one has much power, most of the pitchers throw sinkers and don’t strike anyone out. Every team is a carbon copy of the team before and they expect different results.
They need new people in the front office-and they should start with a new GM and a new scouting director. The player evaluations have been abysmal. You don’t miss that many times with that many players like the Indians have if you have competent help in your front office.

Is Bane gonna work for the Red Sox, generally, or specifically for Ben Cherington? Likewise, is Bane replacing someone on staff or has the team heretofore functioned without a special assignment scout? If yes, to the latter, why the need to hire a scout for special assignments? Without further explanation this hire doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.

Well, he threatened to “break them” just like he did Batman, and they didn’t want to argue.
