Good pick up.

Man, this guys wheels literally just fell off in the middle of the season. He was doing great. Hope he can get it going again. Good luck to him.

You’re right about the wheels falling off, but it happened in the spring. Last year he was one of the few relief pitchers that Girardi didn’t exclusively use as a mix & match, and as you say, he was great.
This spring, he couldn’t buy an out and was sent to AAA, until just about to the end of the season. Still couldn’t get anyone out, when he came up, too bad.
If he can get himself squared away, he can help any Bullpen.

He was in the Bronx from ST through June 29 when after 6 straight horrible appearances he was sent down.

Thanks. I stand corrected. I know he was bad from the start, just seemed that he went down earlier.
Howard
He did well for Tampa before going to the Yankees, so hopefully he regains his form again.

The Jays probably noticed that Wade is great in odd-numbered years.

Jason Frasor’s replacement

Kinda just a situation where the stuff isn’t there. It’s uncommon nowadays for relievers to come in only throwing 90-92, and that’s where Wade was.

Still, a guy who was able to keep 4.23 ERA with decent peripherals in that bandbox deserves another shot.

The Blue Jays picking up everyone’s leftovers does not a good team make.
