With Dan O still in the office….Would think Sandy A or Mike Sarbaugh get looks in Colorado….The Red Sox? The Blue Jays? Fighting over a manager that has shown what that he can do the job? Bupkis….

While Toronto is Getting better, they still don’t have the resources as the Red Sox, so I’d assume Farrell would fare better in Boston than he has in Toronto, just saying.

false; with more resources he’d be under more pressure, and the fact that he isn’t a good manager would shine through

I think Ausmus would be a great fit, and I mean possible Francona-esque (as much as I’d love it, not saying he’d guide the Sox to 2 WS wins 9 years) manager. He’s a great baseball guy as much as I hate the term. Plus he wouldn’t cost compensation, and I thought highly of Farrell but he isn’t worth anything more than Bard.

please just take Farrel! I can’t take anymore… he’s not even good…

I don’t think Jim Tracy quit managing the Rockies, the most likely scenario is he gave himself a lengthy post-season interview and then fired himself.

if the red sox are going to get their next manager from toronto why not just go ahead and take torey lovullo? that way there is not compensation required, you get a manager who is knowledgeable of the players in the red sox minor league system and has worked with cherington and mike hazen before. makes more sense to me than to give up prospects for a manager who may not even be the best person for the job.
