The way the Pirates handled Correia makes me question the front office/manager even more. He should have never been sent to the bullpen. He’s no ace, but he was one of the Pirates’ more consistent pitchers during Collapse II. No wonder free agents avoid the Pirates like the plague.

free agents dont avoid the pirates the pirates avoid free agents because the pirates cant afford any good players.

With 2 games left in the season, why would we even have Correia pitch? It would’ve saved us 100K. Money again not properly spent.

“Bryan LaHair thinks he has a 50-50 chance of being traded by the Cubs this offseason,”
We’ll see your Bryan LaHair and raise you a Mauro Gomez.. Another career MiLB free swinger and in all odds will be removed from a 40 man roster this winter.
I can’t see LaHair having much (if any) trade value. it’s not like he hit at all after May, not good defensive 1b. could hang around a few months on some NL team as a backup 1b/PH, kind of like Giambi does, only Giambi can hit on occasion.
Epstein should really have pushed hard to move him back in June before the inevitable collapse of his bat occurred.
