I don’t even know how I feel about trading Dickey but man do the Mets need some serious positional help.

Wet dream, but a Wright, Machado, Hardy, Davis and Weiters IF looks pretty attractive. Jones, Markakis & Reimold OF with Shields, Hammels, Chen, Tillman & Bundy rotation…Angelos, just go out with a bang. Do not sign Johnson as closer with Strop, Hunter, Arriet, Matusz and O’Day while having Gonzalez and Johnson in AAA. NY and Bos are vulnerable, so take advantage!

the Met’s AAA team is in Vegas?? Seriously?? that seems so…inconvenient of a place if they need someone right quick.
NickyNoodles
Their AAA team used to be in Buffalo, NY but their contract just ran out, at the end of this past season. Buffalo chose the Bluejays over the Mets for their AAA team. Mets had no choice but to go to Vegas. They weren’t happy about it.

jeez. Poughkeepsie or something wasn’t available?

I thought last yr their were report that Wally blackmon could be the heir to Terry collins? I thought read on here, that he doesn’t want to manage at Triple A is that right?? If so why would, he go to Phillies to manage for their triple A when Ryne Sandberg is consider the heir to Charlie Manuel..

Mets needs to deal Wright. No sense in keeping him when rebuilding the team.
Mets won’t be serious contenders until at least 2015-2016.
Spend the money on younger talent instead.
David Wright can give a good boost to a poor farm system.
Look at what Houston is doing, I’m betting they will be a better team than Mets in only a year. Rebuilding goes quicker than some people think.
Much in part because you bring in hungry talent into a ballclub.

If the Mets trade away David Wright, who the hell plays third base?

I like Murphy at third but the team insists on using him at second and occasionally at first base.

Bring up Wilmer Flores. He’ll need the seasoning. He’s got great make up, and will be a good or perhaps even great 3rd baseman for years.
Point is, Mets needs to revamp the organization. Wright is a major trade chip in doing that. He could be the final piece to Cincinnatis World Champ puzzle.
And they would likely give up a couple of decent prospects in return for him.
I suggest 2 top prospects (not Billy Hamilton) and one mid level prospect.
Fair for both teams, flags flies forever.
Blue387
Flores? His tools are obvious, but it’s a question of whether he can ever put it all together with any sort of consistency.

Young players grow up surprisingly fast when they are FORCED, not allowed, to adapt. Look at Trout, and more to the point, Machado.

if they aren’t discussing dollars or years, what are they discussing?
Brandon Cantero
Trade Wright to the diamondbacks for Justin Upton and Trevor Bauer trade Dickey to the rockies for Dexter Fowler and Drew pomeranz
burnboll
I like your thinking. Wouldn’t ask for Upton and Bauer, which seems a little unrealistic, but rather Skaggs and Bradley, and perhaps a low level prospect.
Brandon Cantero
If the Mets seriously want to rebuild they should 1)trade Wright to the angels for trumbo and borjous 2)put trumbo at first and trade davis to the red Sox for Bryce brentz and Brandon Jacobs then 3)trade Dickey and duda to the bluejays for Travis d’arnaud and Justin nicolino
