we won the world series so it must have been worth it. that’s how it works, right?
Daniel Stern
In twenty years, no Giants fan will care how much Aubrey Huff made in 2012. They will care Aubrey Huff contributed in winning a championship in 2010. So the answer, I guess, would be yes!

Agreed completely. He was the driving force for the 2010 season and the Giants were able to add another championship in spite of his efforts this year. People must be really hard up to bicker about this given what’s taken place in the last three years in SF.

True, and having an anxiety disorder and being a major leaguer is a tough task to handle. You’re under so much pressure to perform I’m amazed he produced as well as he did while battling it. I also look at is as he was underpaid in 2010, so think of the two year contract as a bonus for time served. 🙂

He is done

This guy was one of the Greatest Rays hitters of all time. Sad to see him go out like he did .Pat Burrell went out the same way!
Giants 9th Closer of 2012
sad to see them go out as champions (or potential champ in Huff Daddy’s case) ?

He won 2 World Series Championships and was a key member of the 2010 squad before having his option declined. Unless of course you are a Rays fan…

If Giants picked it up, I would have been the guy from the movie “Scanners” 🙂

This should be heavily referenced by the @DodgersGM Twitter account shortly…
(EDIT: 38 minutes late—really should check Twitter before MLBTR sometimes)

Former Giants player that’s run out of gas … Coletti must be beside himself with anticipation.
“So Aubrey, how does 3yr./$15M sound ?”

these last 2 years were very painful for giants fans watching him play. Personally, I loved what he did in 2010, who didn’t? But he showed up extremely out of shape in 2011 and then the off field issues with the divorce then he hurt his knee climbing a railing. Another example of a guy who got paid and completely phoned it in. His best years were always when he was looking for the next big contract. Good bye Huff. 2 rings and over 25 mill from the giants. Maybe he gets a minor league deal but i’d say he’s done.

Aubrey, thanks for your contributions to this franchise. We’ll never forget 2010, SF’s first championship. You and that group are legends in my book (except Burriss, Velez, and Whiteside)
