Another guy who will be unemployed for about the time it takes for him to clean out his locker …

Sad to see LHP relief depth go, but Sox have better major league options for that role, and Mijares can probably find a more MLB-likely job elsewhere.
BeantownGreen
Yeah, was hoping he’d accept a minor league assignment. Can’t blame him for wanting to find a job on a major league roster though. With Miller struggling and Breslow likley starting on the DL, Layne or Britton might have to step up in the LOGGY role

really hope the Astros make a run at him. he’d be a great add to our bullpen, who could then be flipped for a prospect around the trade deadline
Jason Day
Wouldn’t put much hope in getting something for him at the trade deadline. He was having one of his better seasons with the Royals, and they ended up waiving him after no one would give anything up for him. Giants beat writers described him as “strange”. Something about the guy makes him less desirable than a lefty with his track record usually is.

Reds should make a run at him, with Marshall, Broxton, and Chapman set to begin the season on the DL. He would be a very good fit.

I totally agree.

White Sox…Downs and Mijares (possibly Veal) as the lefties in the pen. There is even room on the 40-man for him now.
