Hudson actually has two seasons of an ERA over 4, 2000 and 2006.

Not sure how I missed the one in the middle, thanks.

I forgot they paid Javy Lopez $13M over three years. Between he, Hudson and Lincecum, they really overpaid for pitching.
Hopper15 2
they didn’t overpay for Hudson

Geez, Lincecum looks 14 in that picture…

The “mustache” doesn’t help.

Shouldn’t he be at the AVN awards?

If it’s broke, don’t fix it!

Lincecum does present a marketability for the Giants that goes beyond his stat line, to be fair

I miss Barry Zito already.

His pitching or jazz ability?
Daniel Morairity
i have only a lot of things to say to the giants.
1. I like the extending of lincecums contract
2. The rotation looks very good with tim hudson in it
3. How will this rotation be competing in the nl west with the dodgers ramping up on pitching?
4. The signing of micheal morse will be very good with the club
5. Matt Cain has got to do better this year with his pitches
6. Will the panda get his contract extended?
7. Will buster posey be the best catcher that he was the last three years?
8. When will marco scuaturo be back from his injury?
9. Hunter Pence will be a beast this year in right field
10. Angel pagan will also be a beast this year in center field as well
11. The bullpen will do just fine in the nl west this year with javier lopez and jermey affeldt
Thats the questions and statements that i have to say about the san fransciso giants this year (who are my second favorite team this year)

Funny to see Granderson listed as having had injury issues – getting hit in the forearm and breaking a bone twice in a season is a freak accident, not an injury issue. He has otherwise been healthy. As for performance – he is what he is – a guy that hits HRs and strikes out a lot.
Jeff Todd
I didn’t say he was “injury-prone,” The sentence indicates that he he “had” (past tense) a recent injury issue. Not sure why that really implies anything about ongoing susceptibility.
I was just trying to provide as much context as possible (in a short snippet) for his numbers and free agent situation. He only saw 250 PAs last year, over which he had the worst power numbers of his career, while his K% continued to be elevated. It’s an arm injury, which could have implications for power. He’s about to turn 33. I can’t write a fully nuanced brief on the guy in one sentence — just want to capture some of the factors in his market to compare his deal to Pence.

I hope Lincecum has a bounceback year. Was so fun to see him pitch lights-out in his prime.
