First Bleed
Brewers should keep an eye on Parmelee, could be useful as a left-handed bench bat or backup 1B/OF.

He’s still young so there’s potential, but he’s been pretty bad. I think the Twins will probably keep him as a bench bat instead of putting him on waivers, but you never know.

Phil Coke has his five years in so they can’t send him down like they did last August before his five years kicked in.
Coke is a candidate to be released, either by March 15 when they can let him go for one sixth of his salary, or by opening day at the cost of a quarter of his salary.
The Tigers are likely to take one more lefty along with Ian Krol in the bullpen, and it’s Coke’s job to lose if he can step up. Crosby and Hardy would be next in line. Reed and Putkonen appear to be battling for the last RH bullpen spot, unless there is an injury or Alburquerque gets even wilder.

Don’t think there’s any place for Kyle Lobstein in the competition?
Patrick OKennedy
I suspect Lobstein is the No 6 starter at this point, so unless he’s clearly better than all the rest as a reliever, they’ll leave him in the rotation in Toledo.

Fair enough. Thanks

So the Tigers have a 7 man pen right?

Putkonen. Who am I forgetting?

I was surprised that Jimmy Paredes was not listed with the Kansas City Royals group. I think Jimmy was added to the Astros 40 man in November of 2010 and was optioned every March in 2011, 2012, and 2013, being on some minor league roster at least the required 20 days for each of those three years.

Tribe isn’t going to want Outman in there against right-handed batters… which is fine, better LOOGY was needed over last season

Veal will likely be in the Sox Bullpen. You always need lefties IMO. While he has been mostly a specialist pitching to lefties he seemed to pitch better later in the year so maybe something has turned for him.
