I was just thinking about this today as well. I especially like Warren’s stuff. They signed Aceves this offseason, you would think he could work his way into the pen and let one of them offer insurance but the Yankees have five effective starters and those guys have nothing new to learn in the minors..

A lot of assumptions seem to be working out thus far. Aceves aside, the Yankees have seven starters, two of them are currently in the bullpen and that doesn’t include Banuelos. Starting depth is not a shortcoming on this team.

“A lot of assumptions seem to be working out”. This thread is in regards to ’15, not ’14. Already Kuroda has come out and said he really misses Japan, and almost retired last off-season. Doubt he’ll be coming back in ’15. NY’s best pitcher, and biggest “assumption” just took a nosedive.
Thats the problem with assumptions, once you make a best-case scenario assumption, things can only get worse from there. (And Kuroda news came out only 6 days after the “assumption”. What more is in store between now and Nov.)
