They could still trade De Aza and just play some other nobody. They aren’t going anywhere, so what’s it matter if Jordan Danks plays every day if you get prospects back for De Aza? (and lets be honest, what level prospects are they getting for him anyway?)
Ted 2
exactly. this doesn’t limit the tendency to trade. It might actually help because now both De Aza and Viciedo will get more playing time. They would be happy to play Danks out there, and I bet they start trying Micah Johnson in the OF too. Don’t think he will stick in middle infield, especially with Semien ahead of him and Anderson behind.
Matt Galvin
Hawkins?
Ted 2
20 years old. Couldn’t handle an aggressive placement into high A ball last year. I’m looking for him to get back on the radar of Sox prospects this year, but it’ll be 2016 or 2017 before he gets a shot.
Unassisted Triple Play
Wow no not even close. Hawkins is closer to a failed prospect than anything else. Here’s a name that people aren’t talking about, Jared Mitchell!

…with your good arm.

At the time of the peavy trade you told me two of the players in that deal were going to miss 2014, I would guess peavy would be one of them.

Karma is really something, isn’t it?

I am not as wild about Tank as I once was. Was kind of hoping Garcia would push him out. Oh well.
Dock_Elvis
I’m not either, but it’d be a good time for another team to jump in and get him on the cheap. There’s still a chance he can reel off 3 seasons of .260/25-30 for a team inclined to gamble
LittleOtterPaws
Peavy must be sweating bullets!
Joe Orsatti
Bernadina should be a target of the White Sox

They are not rebuilding. But what type o prospects did you think
De Aza would bring? Wont be that good
Unassisted Triple Play
Of course they are rebuilding. If De Aza continues to hit he could bring in a pretty good young prospect in a deadline deal. There is interest in him.
Priggs89
“Continues to hit”? It’s hard to take your opinion seriously after a comment like that. He hasn’t hit since the first series.
First 3 games: .364 avg, 3 home runs
Last 10 games: .097 avg, 0 home runs
He needs to start hitting before he can continue doing it.
Unassisted Triple Play
So you’re saying that no one wins. Probable.
Tko11
That is really unfortunate…and all these injuries are really making fantasy baseball hard.

I have 4 DL players and one slot in a 15 team league. I’m riding Brandon Crawford at SS. Getting to the point of needing to check early lineups just.to stream
WrigleyTerror37
Really sad to see him go down. Was looking forward to watching Garcia play this year.
Dock_Elvis
Truth is, though, the underappreciated aspect of winning teams is that they are generally the ones that stayed healthiest.
Dock_Elvis
Bad for the Sox this season. Given that Garcia was one of their marketing efforts during what was all but certain to be a lost season.
