Olt is a bust because he had one bad season in the Minors when he couldn’t see?

The Red Sox called up someone else. They don’t think Cecchini is ready yet.
They don’t really care about service time issues, anyway. If the Red Sox think someone is ready to play in MLB and they need him, they call him up, regardless of any other considerations. If Cecchini hits .350 at Pawtucket, he’ll be in a Red Sox uniform by June. Sooner if they need him…

With top ten prospects like Polanco, there is a very high probability of the team and the player coming together on an early extension – the Pirates have done this with Tabata, McCutchen and Marte – so buying out Polanco’s arb and a year or two of free agency would seem to be a no brainer. So why not bring him up late April-early May? It is only a week in, but he is crushing AAA pitching and I wonder if at some point you can do more harm by leaving him at that level than good

Can anyone speculate on the first NL pitching prospect to get called up other than Bradley?
