Phelps, and Green are better than Danks would be. Don’t make a move just to make a move, but this is Cashman we’re talking about here! Also, Phelps has been the second best pitcher outside McCarthy since Tanaka got hurt, why the hell would you send him to the bullpen??

Well, Cashman is fighting for his job. I am quite frankly tired of the Steinbrunner mentality of spending. Rebuilding a farm system is important and the Yankees’ home grown talent as of late is not as great as it should be.

His contract is done at the end of the year. If the Yankees miss the playoffs again, I can certainly see them not re-signing him.

Yeah, it’s just his old way of thinking is going away because the nature of the game is to have young power arms and a mix of vets + young hitters + speed.
