It’s 4 teams, and he’s on a very team-friendly deal.

Not so much team-friendly as fair. The guy’s 36 and isn’t going to replicate 2012’s success.
That said, he may be a 2 WAR guy, which is valuable enough for his contract. It’s just not worth a no-trade clause of any sort.

Dude’s in the top third of all outfielders for offensive production, and is a good fielder everywhere but CF (maybe there, but I have to imagine he’d be playing there on a daily basis if he were). He’s on contract for another 1.5 years (2.5 if his option vests), but hasn’t had any major injuries recently, and has already produced 2 rWAR.
I’m really not sure why Fangraphs is so down on his D, since he hasn’t seemed particularly poor, yet they’ve got him pegged at a -7, which is the main reason he’s only got 1 fWAR.

Looking into it I agree the Dodgers have the prospects to get it done but like you said, the Dodgers should stay away. The Cardinals don’t have near the high end prospects to entice Tampa to trade Price this year. Unless Taveras is included in the deal.
