I sure hope Ranaudo is a guy who thrives under pressure, for his sake tonight
JacobyWanKenobi
The Yankees always get wrecked by rookies. They just get so bitter when they see youth that they can’t swing straight.
Uriel Alessandro
after each strikeout they should swing their fist yelling “you meddling kids!!”
M.Kit
At least he only has to face up against Capuano
Chioakcisco
I’m happy to see Ranaudo up. His Minor League numbers are tremendous, he might end up being a very good starter soon.
Dave M.
Renaudo is right handed, not a “southpaw.” Thank you for all the trade deadline coverage!
Karkat
Probably got him crossed up with Owens (who just got promoted to AAA! :D)

After covering the site all day yesterday, I have everything confused with everything else. But thank you to all who pointed out my error for being gentle. Edited.

Well this website has basically been the Jeff Todd as Attributed Author Show lately xD We understand!

Fun last couple days, but I’m looking forward to the manager coming out of the dugout and calling in a reliever. I am confident that Mark Polishuk will strand the runners I’m leaving for him (ugly inning: E1, WP, HBP, BB).

That pitching line reminds me of Julian Tavarez.
Wait a second… Julian Tavarez… J.T. …. Jeff Todd……………..

Naaaaah. Jeff Todd is friendly and doesn’t appear to have rage issues…
:-p

My friends would laugh if they saw this comment … quite unlike most people, I am actually much more tame and reasonable on the internet than in real life!
Infield Fly
OK Jeff…you want to take this outside?! ;-p
Seriously though, better behaved on the internet? I’ll have what you’re having!!
Jeff Todd
It is actually a not-unrealistic recollection of my only high school pitching appearance, circa 1999.
Took off the accustomed catching gear, trotted to the mound, threw about 17 balls on 23 pitches and gave up two runs, as I recall. Was marginally more successful as an emergency shortstop (3 put-outs, 2 errors, perhaps).
Mike Maher
Thanks for all the coverage, Jeff.

Thanks for reading!

Ranaudo is a righty, not a lefty.

Making his debut against the Yankees, can’t get any better then this, I’m looking forward to it 🙂

Sox have 10 of Baseball America’s pre-season top 100 prospects. Six on the updated mlb.com list. They have an enormous amount of young talent. Four right handed pitchers and four left handed pitchers in the pipeline. I like seeing young guys have a chance to develop, not as much fun as a World Series chase, but I’m not complaining.
Bob Bunker
So pumped to watch Ranaudo pitch tonight hope he stays up for the rest of the year and earns a spot in next years rotation!
Cyyoung
Also could be Trade chip if he does well too.
M.Kit
Ranaudo really has rebuilt his stock over the past couple of years. Hit a bump in the road beforehand
