Ramirez gone, Guerrero in, Ethier and Crawford gone (or just Crawford and have Ethier as a backup) and Pederson up. Would they move Dee to short again? And where would Pederson play?
DarthMurph
There’s no way they manage to move both Ethier and Crawford.
BlueSkyLA
Explain.
Jesus Gutierrez
what is their to explain both are own tons of money you can only move one i feel without eating so much money, unless you swap a horrible contract with another
BlueSkyLA
This is not an explanation. Think of both of these players as if they were free agents at the end of the season, and work from there.

They can afford to eat contrants

I’m sure they’d rather keep Gordon at 2B and perhaps move Guerrero back to SS. Who knows though, with Erisbel Arruebarruena (5-yr, $25 mil) also in the mix we have some SS/2B depth now… I wonder if any of the 3 would be used as a trade chip moving forward? Also, I’d rather keep Crawford and move Either. Either has really been bad for us this season and as much as I wanna root for the guy sometimes you just have to give the good ol’ “change of scenery” move a try and trade the guy.

guerreros played 4 games a SS im sure he isnt any better then Dee but i guess cant be any worse then Hanley lol

I’ve heard arrembuana or whatever is the same as sellers, just more money

Looks like Gammons thinks Hanley Ramirez is a fit for the Yankees. Very unlikey that A-Rod would play 3B full time in 2015. Jeter’s replacement Ramirez or J.J. Hardy.
josebatista89
A Rod is playing 3rd, Hanely will play short.
Jesus Gutierrez
i forgot A-rod comes back ……

The Mets could use one of these three Kemp, Either, Crawford.

I’m sure if the Mets were willing to take most of Ethier’s contract the Dodgers would be happy to swap him for a bag of popcorn!
BlueSkyLA
Welcome to the party, Peter Gammons. The chances of Hanley signing with any NL team next year forward were always close to zero — injuries or otherwise, defense issues or otherwise. Trading Kemp was also always highly unlikely, and becomes even less likely now as he is finally coming back from the injuries that wrecked his 2012 and 2013 seasons (note the lack of connection to Hanley). Finally, Hanley has already said that he doesn’t mind playing 3B. He just doesn’t want to be switched back and forth.

Dodgers would be dumb to eat any of Hanley’s contract to help out the Yankees, or any other team! Wishful thinking, though! Unless Colletti is conspiring with the Yankees? Hanley would have been the N.L. M.V.P. in 2014, if he hadn’t gotten hurt in the World Baseball Classic! Magic Johnson probably calls the shots, and I don’t think he will want to get rid of Hanley, he is almost as good as Jeter.
