Good news: better access to coverage of Astros games. Bad news… 😉

yeah bad news is watching them make a wild card run in 2015.

Does Profar or Odor get you a viable MLB starting pitcher at this point? I would think other pieces would be needed to trade for a number 3-4. The Rangers have to get value out of Fielder and Choo to contend.

alone, not at all. I’d think a Luke Jackson, Chi-Chi Gonzalez or someone along those lines, in addition to someone like Nomar Mazarra or Nick Williams. As for value from Fielder and Choo, them both being healthy will go a long ways. Choo was banged up basically all season. They still have some really good prospects in the system. And you could even consider moving someone like Nick Tepesch if the upgrade is valuable enough. He isn’t an ace obviously but I think he will be a steady big leaguer.

I have to say, Lewis should be worthy of a Major League offer. He did what he was asked to do last year and was really the best arm going at the end of the season. Not that the bar was set high of course. As for trade, I’d rather Profar be moved but would have said the same thing 2 years ago. I like Odor a lot. I just have to question the current value of Profar?
