And worst day to put their offseason outlook in
rich 3
Yeah, that’s not happening.
Good young rotation, solid pen, bounce back years from two really good players (Myers, Longoria) and they are far, far away from being bad. They’ll actually be pretty good. What they get for Zobrist will determine whether they are just an 81 win team or not in 2015.
Matt Musal
With Joe leaving, I think it’s time for Dave Martinez, he has interviewed for plenty of manager jobs the last few years, he deserves the job. Now they need to pick up Ben Zobrist’s option, it’s important because he is a switch hitter and is a spark pulg for the offense.. As for Molina, they need backup with more power and speed then him, Jose’s age is also a problem. I like the idea of Evan Gaddis, maybe a trade of Molina and or Joyce would be good. At the end of it all, we need a power hitter that doesn’t cost much.
Flash Gordon
Definitely as long as the Players like him. The Rays are built off of stability and schemes. Stay in house if you can.
Matt Musal
The players do like Dave. Charlie Montoya is about the only other person I think should manage the Rays besides Dave.
Rolando Belber
If the Rays FO are smart and they normally are they should promote Dave Martinez as the manager and strongly persuade Molina to drop his contract and become the bench coach.
They should seriously get rid of the hitting coach.
