I couldn’t disagree more about Utley. Last night he had two hits that were hit very hard to the warning track. He’s been lining out a ton. He’s made really good contact of late. The .092 BABIP isn’t helping his average (.300+ career). He’ll finish the year around .250-.260

I don’t know what you base your sanguine opinion of the Indians on. You must not have watched them much this year. Do you think Salazar can continue to throw 90% of his pitches at 95 mph for entire games, for the entire season? And that doesn’t even address their dreadful defense.
Vandals Took The Handles
While not a pure baseball move for the Angels in getting rid of Hamilton, it nevertheless was a baseball move. Getting rid of someone that agreed not to become a distraction and subsequently became one, was a very good baseball move.
Get fooled once, shame you you. Get fooled twice, shame on me. Arte Moreno cut out the chance of yet more off the field distractions over the next 2-3/4’s years. That was an excellent baseball move for his club. They can concentrate on playing baseball.
