Weird story. Reminds me a little of Allen Craig. Just cannot catch up to major league pitches, from one season to the next.
Melvin Mendoza, Jr.
He’s had a few pretty good seasons. Last year was his best at the plate.

I was thinking more of Tyler Colvin. In 2012, he was very good for the Rox. In 2013, he was horrible to the point of not even making the team out of ST and spending almost the entire season in AAA. It’s a shame that Stubbs wasn’t moved in the offseason. He was worth a lottery ticket-type prospect at least.

Stubbs has all the Physical tools, just can’t seem to add two and two !
eric edwards
No, he isn’t patient or discerning enough to ever get 2 and 2 and he can not recover from 0 and 2.

Ouch! Barnes is hitting .205 in AAA too.
stymeedone
That merits a call up!

Actually I have been surprise he has held a starting role for so long. He’s really more of a 4th OF. Good defense and can be a pinch runner, has a little pop off the bench. He just hasn’t hit well enough most seasons to merit a starting job. Yet he has.

Sounds about right to me. As a Red he swung for the fences every at bat. If only he’d be a little more patient swinging the bat he’d be a great player.

That’s true of a lot of players. I am always amazed when a player with legitimate base stealing speed arrives in the majors without knowing how to work a walk or how to bunt (don’t know if Stubbs can bunt). Such a waste of a talent.

So they sent a guy down who batting .118 for a guy batting .205. Good FO work their. *Eye roll*
