No Big League Choo For Yu
Nooooooooo! 🙁

Jeez, Marlins can’t catch a break.

The Tigers will be happy to take Haren and Dunn off the Marlins hands.

Other than the trade with the Dodgers, everything else they did this winter has failed miserably. Stanton’s injury isn’t as disappointing as it should be to me, because they were already so far out of the race. Still, this has been a miserable season.

No more trading with the Tigers, enough already

Well, he’s clearly on steroids so I assume he will recover shortly.
whodunnit
Steroids? Really?… how stupid

This could be a long term thing for Staton. Jose Tabata, while no where near the caliber of Stanton, Was a decent hitter with line drive power. He broke a hamate bone a few years back and while still hits for some average lost what little power he had. Will be interesting to see what happens to Stanton when he comes back.

PS. wish there was an edit option. Bumped enter before saying I hope that Stanton has no long term issues and comes back strong.
whodunnit
The bone he broke in his hand doesn’t affect power.

It is about gripping the bat and being able to handle the torque that the rest of the body generates plus the mental part of it. The bone broke while swinging the bat. Will he be able to grip the bat the same and get the same bat speed all while he wonders if he will break a bone again just by swinging. If the bone was not part of the swing, it would not have broken because he swung the bat.
whodunnit
It’s a fairly common injury in batters. Of course he’ll grip the bat the same once it heals. There’s really no concern. As far as the “mental” aspect, there’s likely none as compared to getting hit in the face with an 88mph fastball.

Stanton will come back stronger next season…60 homer…..stronger….

Close…He’ll come back stronger and the get hurt again.
6 years and only played full years twice. Is he going get more more durable the older he gets?

Jays doing well

I’m thinking Matt Boyd is being show cased for a possible trade for Cole Hamels

As for Stanton, the guy is in great shape…he’ll be back sooner than later
