What a fall from Cabrera, goes from an Allstar to DFA’d in 2 short years
Brixton G.
Getting arrested plus a 50 game PED suspension will do that to ya.

Doesn’t have the cream to rub on any longer.

I wonder if anyone will claim him
Bringbacktheblue
Padres lol
Dock_Elvis
Rockies. They can pay him minimum and he can make up his own bonus selling legal smoke
Former_Lurker
We should offer him to the Mets. Why not?

Flores is hitting well enough to stick at SS, I think (hope) that discussion has died down.
Dock_Elvis
Down goes Clevenger to win that AAA batting title at Showalters behest. It all starts today.
Former_Lurker
Would you rather have three catchers, or demote Joseph? Those are the only two other options. Demoting Clevenger is the right move until his defense is better, though it looked at bit better in this brief stint.
Dock_Elvis
I’m only responding to Showalter’s reported meeting with Clevenger. I actually find the oddball narratives of lesser known players to be much more interesting, typically, than stories about the stars
Former_Lurker
Where did you see that?
Dock_Elvis
That story was a link from here several weeks ago.
Former_Lurker
I haven’t seen it, but he was probably talking over the yo-yo-ing with him, saying that they still value his presence, and not to give up.
Dock_Elvis
I’m sure you can find the link, but it was just Showalter basically giving him anoat on the back..being honest…telling him to hit and work on the D so that he’s attractive to either the Orioles or someone else
Konrad Verloc
I was wondering if Texas might consider him. I guess 2.4 mil is pretty steep for a utility guy.
AARON JANOER
If they add a 6th year for $14m, a bargain for an all star catcher, it becomes 6 years for $21m & iif they pay earlier, it becomes $3.5 m/year for 6 years.
If they add 2 years for $28m more , it becomes $35m total or $5m/year for 7 years
They then look like they aren’t taking advantage & get value at the same time!
JordanSwingman
No need for him from the Mets camp. Flores is putting up respectable numbers for a 24 year old player adjusting to the Majors and a tough position.

Cabrera was bad from day 1, day 1 of the exhibition season. Mistake after mistake.
