I hope one day I can figure out how to mentally detach from being a marlins fan. There is no joy in being a marlins fan, only misery…

multiple world series in what a 20 year history?

Well I was born in 1993, the same year as their inaugural season. So when they won the WS in ’97 I didn’t even know what baseball was. The ’03 WS they won, is the first time I can remember watching baseball, and while I was rooting for them I wouldn’t call myself a “fan” yet. I started getting into baseball around ’05 and was a full time fan by ’06, and since then they’ve only had two winning season and no playoff appearances. Take a look at the list of players the marlins have traded just in the last 10 years, Miguel Cabrera, Hanley Ramirez, Carlos Delgado, Jose Reyes, Mike Lowell, Josh Beckett, Dontrell Willis, Josh Johnson, Anibal Sanchez, Mark Buehrle and plenty more. So my experience as a marlins fans has been pretty terrible and I have’t even mentioned the crook owner.

I understand what John Hart is supposed to be doing but he got hosed in that 3 team deal. Just because they are aiming for a great ’17 in their new stadium, there is no guarantee that these players in the minors will pan out. I hope things work out like they are hoping because this has been a hard year to experience as a Braves fan and it’s not over yet

I wouldn’t necessarily call Olivera a minor league player.. He signed out of Cuba and is raking in the minors.. He didn’t make the Dodgers roster yet because they have no room for him.. He should be playing 3rd for the Braves very shortly and will be a solid player for a couple of years.. Since he is 29-30 he should be in his prime already.. He was a very solid get for the Braves.. Paco was a vast improvement over Johnson.. If he wasn’t injured he never would have left LA.. Plus, they unloaded the Arroyo contract.. That means they got Touissant for basically nothing.. Hart should be given GM of the year for this trade alone.. Let alone for his fleecing of Arizona, San Diego (twice) and looking like the winner in his trade with the Yankees..
