Vandals Took The Handles
Preller is the big news…..
Other then Kemp, he has a roster full of people that he either tried to move or wanted to replace. Doubt that no one on that roster feels comfortable playing there. Everyone has to be playing for themselves. Never have quite seen anything like this before.

Other than the Marlins, who are in a class by themselves, I don’t think you can classify any team as bigger deadline losers than the Padres. AJ Preller reminds me of the guy that tried to break the bank by shopping at flea markets in the hopes of flipping the stuff for a mint. Now he is stuck with a garage full of junk in the house he can’t afford.

Option 1:
Upton will net them a comp pick come next draft.
Kennedy pitches like he’s been lately he’s going to get a QO and net a comp balance pick.
Venable and Benoit can be dealt in August.
That’ll give them 5 picks before the 3rd round.
Option 2:
Kennedy Upton Venable Beniot get traded in August to a team that looks to make a serious push. Kimbrel may get traded that way but doubt it.
Either way they’ll get something.
