Meanwhile, Castillo is absolutely crushing it for the Diamondbacks. Think this one might be chalked up as Theo and Hoyer’s first big blunder.

Yep, and saw this coming a mile away. Welly has always had offensive potential, Theo just couldnt stand the defense and pitch framing.
I love Ross’s defense as a backup, but his bat is just not worth a MLB roster spot.
Shouldnt have signed Ross, offensively-challenged Cubs couldve really used Montero and Castillo as a potent offensive platoon behind the plate. Sign Ross as a coach…

Definitely not their first. There was the Edwin Jackson signing and the Ian Stewart deal.

And it won’t be their last. But when your biggest mistakes are:
— signing a pitcher to a $52 mil contract in today’s market
–trading away an offensive minded catcher when you have Schwarber waiting in the wings and
–trading away a guy whose stats are mostly a product of Coors Field
Then I think you’ve done something right b
NickGarren
yeah we get a guy who is horrid for a guy who could have landed us Mark Trumbo.

Yes, Medina was a Terrible return for Welly. Talk about selling low…

I can understand independent sports websites making honest mistakes when they draw their information second hand. They’re only as good as their sources. But how does MLB dot com screw that up? Aren’t they getting their information directly from the main offices of Major League Baseball?
