pssst….Dan Duquette. At this point, Uncle Petey might just take a bag of balls and a couple of broken bats
davbee
Kevin Towers, book it.
Alex Nelson
Awful. No way we want Towers or Kenny Wiliams

I didn’t say that would be the best candidate for Seattle, I said that’s who’d they’d hire based on the organization from the top down being inept.
algionfriddo
Assuming Jerry Dipoto is even interested… is he a good option for Seattle?
davbee
When has Seattle ever been known to make a good hire at GM save for Gillick? It’s a poorly run organization from the top down, and they’ll continue to make bad choices. That’s why I say they’ll go the lazy, veteran retread route and hire Towers.
bjtheduck
What is it with these owners/presidents declaring the manager stays before they even start the search for a new GM? First the Brewers, now the Mariners. You’d think the new GM would want to make that decision for himself.

Mather elaborated that he likes Lloyd, but will leave the decision on the staff and manager to the new GM
jr428
Larry Beinfest could be a leading candidate if he is interested. He started in the M’s organization and helped the Marlins win a world series, maybe he could repeat with Seattle?
Alex Nelson
Don’t hire some bargain bin GM please!
kingfelix34
They never should of extended his contract last season

I can’t even say this guy’s name.

Demote Zunino now? Really? 3 days before rosters expand. That’s like cursing at your subordinates right before you’re fired. Seriously…

Ruin Tomorrow Jr. from the Phillies is available and cheap !
We’ll even Take Robby Cano (don’t you know) contact from the Mariners.
Brixton
Because taking on a 200M contract to get rid of a GM with a month left on his deal is the way to go, especially when its not a given that the Phillies are going to let Amaro walk.
jr428
Cano has a full no trade clause anyways, so a trade would be fruitless.
Alex Nelson
I bet new hire in October fires Lloyd
